Seaweek Educators’ Expo 2008
Extinction – A Saw Point

The Department of Fisheries is proud to host the Seaweek Educators Expo - Western Australia's premier education experience for Seaweek in 2008 - at our newest marine education and research facilities at Hillarys Boat Harbour.

Seaweek is the Marine Education Society of Australasia's major annual campaign to increase understanding and appreciation of the sea and its living organisms.

The theme for Seaweek in 2008 is "Extinction - a Saw point"

It is hoped this year's theme will increase awareness of conservation issues and the steps taken by researchers and the Australian fishing industry to better understand sawfish biology and behaviour and help conserve this and other protected species.

Seaweek Educators Expo is a fantastic learning and professional development opportunity; you can network with like-minded educators, meet knowledgeable marine and coastal educators and find out the latest in marine education in Western Australia.
