School Holiday Activities

There's something for everyone!

There is something for everyone at the NMDC this summer… immerse yourself in our Sea Faces underwater photographic exhibition or try one of our special school holiday activities, including Fishy Faces; Hook, Line and Sinker; Beach Flotsam and Jetsam and Magnetic Marine Messages!

We also have your old favourites including getting 'hands-on' at the rock pool and touch table, colouring in a souvenir badge, or how about trying our children's activity book the Naturaliste Explorer's Guide?

Did you know?
Originally the word 'flotsam' meant floating wreckage and 'jetsam' meant the goods thrown over from a ship, and were therefore related to human activity. However in 'modern times', the words 'flotsam and jetsam' simply refer to all things washed ashore, natural or man-made.

All special school holiday activity costs include entry into the NMDC - bookings are essential so please call 9203 0339 to reserve your place!
